GENERAL
Is there a possibility to park my bike(s)?
Yes, at Maashof you can safely park your bicycle(s) in our locked and covered bicycle shed. This service is absolutely free!
Can I bring my pet with me to Maashof?
Dogs are welcome in some of our Comfort, ComfortPlus and family rooms, for only €17,50 per dog per night. To ensure that all guests have a pleasant stay, we ask for dogs to be kept on a lead at all times in and around the hotel, and that they are not left alone in the hotel room. While you enjoy a delicious meal, your dog is welcome to join you in the conservatory, our hotel bar, or the terrace. Please note that any damage caused by the dog is at your own expense. We look forward to welcoming you and your dog!
Is free wifi available?
Yes, we offer free wifi throughout the hotel, so you can stay connected anytime, anywhere.
Are there any electric charging stations available?
Yes, definitely! You will find 16 charging spots specifically for electric cars in the car park to the right of the hotel.
Can Maashof be reached by public transport?
Yes! Both from Venlo and Blerick stations, you can take bus line 70 of Arriva and then get off at the Maashofpark stop. From there, it’s just a 10-minute walk until you reach Maashof.
Can I park for free?
Yes, you can park with us without any worries! We have plenty of free parking spaces available for all our guests.
Is Maashof accessible to wheelchair users?
Yes, almost all rooms within Maashof are accessible by wheelchair. Our hotel rooms are easily accessible by lift, and most other rooms are at ground level (with the exception of Overkoren, which can only be reached by stairs). The toilets are spacious enough for wheelchair users and any accompanying persons. Please note that we do not have specific assistive aids available.
HOTEL
What are the check-in and check-out times?
You can check in from 15:00 on the day of arrival. Would you prefer to check in earlier? An early check-in from 1pm is possible upon request, with a surcharge of €15 per room.
On the day of departure, you can check out until 11:00. If you want to stay a bit longer, a late check-out until 1pm is possible on request, with a surcharge of €7.50 per hour.
What are the breakfast times?
On weekdays, we serve our breakfast from 06.30 – 10.00 am. On weekends, we serve our breakfast from 07.30 – 10.30 am. On public holidays, these times may vary.
What should I do if I unfortunately have to cancel my booking?
Too bad you have to cancel your stay, but of course we understand! The good news is that if you have booked directly with us, you can cancel your booking free of charge until 12.00 noon on the day of arrival. This can be done simply by sending an email to info@maashof.com. If you need to cancel after 12.00 noon, we will only charge you for the cost of the first night.
If you have booked the non-refundable rate, cancellation is not possible.
Would you like to change your booking? Please contact us by phone or e-mail and we will be happy to help you.
If you have booked through another channel, you can find the cancellation conditions on the website where you made your booking. For changes to your booking, they are also ready to help you.
Can I rent bicycles at the hotel?
Yes, at Maashof you can rent (electric) bikes! Besides bikes, we also offer other means of transport, such as E-choppers, E-kickbikes, Knaap E-bikes and E-scooters. So you can explore the beautiful surroundings of northern Limburg your way.
Can I exercise during my stay?
Yes, as a guest of Maashof, you can have access to Fit Focus, our sports centre located directly behind the hotel. For more information, please contact reception, where we will be happy to help you.
Until how late is the reception open?
From Sunday to Thursday, reception is open until 22.00, and on Friday and Saturday until 23.00. Should you arrive after this time, the staff will be happy to help you check in. Do you expect to arrive later than 0.00? Then please let us know so we can prepare your arrival!
How can I pay for my stay?
Are there special rooms for disabled people?
Although we do not have specially adapted rooms for people with disabilities, our doorways are wide enough for wheelchair users. Moreover, we are happy to reserve a room close to the lift for you, to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Can I leave my luggage before check-in or after check-out?
Sure, you can leave your luggage with us both before check-in and after check-out. Just keep in mind that this is at your own risk.
ACTIVITIES
In which ways can the deposit be paid?
✔ Cash: You pay in cash and the amount will be returned in cash afterwards.
✔ By card: The amount will be returned to you by card afterwards. Please note: with contactless payment, this cannot be reversed; you need the physical card for this.
✔ By credit card guarantee: We will make a temporary reservation on your credit card.
✔ Identity card or passport: You can also leave an ID card or passport of one of the participants, which you will pick up at the reception afterwards.
What if the weather doesn't cooperate?
Supremely unpleasant of course, but luckily you can dress for rain. Therefore, rain is never a reason for cancellation. However, there are situations where it is impossible to stay outside, such as in case of storm, strong gusts of wind or when there is more than a 90% chance of rain. In such cases, we will look together at an alternative indoor programme, another time, or another date. The final decision always rests with Maashof.
What happens in case of a breakdown on the road?
Although it rarely happens, breakdowns on the road can unfortunately happen. If this is the case, call us immediately, and we will call in roadside assistance. Usually, you will be able to resume your trip and enjoy the rest of your ride within 30 minutes.
Am I insured on a vehicle?
Yes, all our vehicles are covered by third-party insurance during the tour. Should any damage occur to a vehicle, the resulting costs will be at your own expense and will be covered by your own risk. The excess is € 175 per incident.
Is it possible to ride your own route?
We work with standard routes to give you the best service and technical support. This allows us to act quickly and effectively in case of a breakdown. Of course, we have set out the most beautiful routes for you!
However, if you rent an E-chopper for a whole day, you get the freedom to determine your own route and, within a distance of 55 kilometres, you can tour without any pre-set route.
Is a helmet mandatory during a tour
Is a driving licence mandatory on a tour?
How old do I have to be to drive a vehicle?
To drive our vehicles on the road, a minimum age of 16 years applies. In most cases, you also need a driving licence or moped certificate. But there is good news for younger adventurers: you can ride the Knaap E-bike from the age of 12, as long as you are at least 140 cm tall.
RESTAURANT
What are the breakfast times?
On weekdays, we serve our breakfast from 06.30 – 10.00 am. On weekends, we serve our breakfast from 07.30 – 10.30 am. On public holidays, these times may vary.
Do you consider dietary requirements or allergies?
Absolutely! If we know your dietary requirements or allergies three days in advance, we can come up with a special alternative and source the necessary products. Should you inform us on the day about a special dietary wish, we will do our best to make a suitable alternative with the products we have available.
For vegetarians, we like to hear whether or not fish is eaten, so we can take this into account.
What are the restaurant's opening hours?
Our kitchen is open daily from 11:30 to 21:30. You can enjoy a delicious lunch between 11:30 and 17:00 and dinner is served daily from 17:00. Some appetisers can also be ordered after 21:30.
