What is floating?

Floating in magnesium water at body temperature, you experience a unique feeling of weightlessness. You float in a special float tank, cut off from external stimuli. This creates an environment of total silence and tranquillity, where you can completely surrender to a deep state of relaxation. It is suitable for everyone from 14 years old and up and you can book a float session alone or as a couple. In fact, one hour of floating is said to be equivalent to five hours of sleep!

Useful tips for your float session

  • Eat a small light meal or snack about an hour before your session.
  • Be there 15 minutes beforehand so you can prepare quietly.
  • Avoid caffeine and other stimulants 4 to 6 hours before floating.
  • Do not shave or wax 1 to 2 days before floating; the salt can irritate the skin.
  • Remember to take off your jewellery and contact lenses.
  • Tie long hair in a ponytail while floating.
  • We recommend floating without swimwear, but bathing suits are also allowed.
  • It may take some time to fully relax during your first session. The best result is achieved after about four floats.
  • You can enjoy floating solo or you can enjoy a floating session together

What to expect during your float session?

Your one-hour float session starts with a brief explanation. You then have 10 minutes to change clothes and to rinse off in the shower while the magnesium bath fills up. You start with soft music and some lights, which slowly dim for a completely stimulus-free experience. Prefer to keep the music or lights on? Feel free to indicate it in advance and we will arrange it for you.

When the hour is almost over, the music and lights will slowly turn on. Once the hour is up, the water will drain away and you can rinse off in the shower and get dressed again.

How long does a floating session last?

A regular float session lasts one hour, which is equivalent to five hours of sleep in terms of relaxation.

Should the float cabin be closed while floating?

For the best experience, we recommend keeping the float cabin closed. This keeps it nice and warm and allows your body to absorb magnesium optimally. But don’t feel comfortable with this? No problem! You can easily open the cabin with one finger at any time. You choose what feels best for you.

What should I bring to a floating session?

You don’t need to bring anything with you. We provide everything you need, such as towels and shower products. Would you prefer to float in swimwear? That’s possible, but we recommend going without swimwear. If you want to wear swimwear, don’t forget to bring your own.

Do I need to be able to swim to float?

No, swimming is not necessary. The magnesium salt will naturally keep you floating and allow you to fully relax.

How will the float tank stay clean?

After each session, the water is fully filtered and disinfected, so you can always float in clean and hygienic water.
